NCIS Los Angeles review: “Under Siege”

Here’s my review of NCIS Los Angeles season eight episode “Under Siege.” Please note that this isn’t a recap of what happens. I’m assuming that you’ve already seen the episode. There are spoilers in this review.

NCISLA has never been low on action and intrigue. Even the filler episodes have at least one shootout and probably an undercover scene. The team has the NCIS name (that’s the Naval Criminal Investigative Service if you don’t remember), but they operate more like super spies most of the time, led by the best super spy herself: Hetty Lange. So it’s with a bit of irony that the mole’s motivations come to light here in “Under Siege” as the team is forced to actually contend with the consequences of operating outside of their initial role.

Here’s my review of NCIS Los Angeles season eight episode “Hot Water.” Please note that this isn’t a recap of what happens. I’m assuming that you’ve already seen the episode. There are spoilers in this review.

So we’ve finally reached the beginning of the end. The end of the mole storyline, that is. After more than a season of this threat looming over the team’s heads, things finally are put into motion to reveal the big secret. “Hot Water” is a good title for an episode where the team gets put into some unsavory positions.

NCIS Los Angeles review: “Kulinda”

Here’s my review of NCIS Los Angeles season eight episode “Kulinda.” Please note that this isn’t a recap of what happens. I’m assuming that you’ve already seen the episode. There are spoilers in this review.

The episode’s title “Kulinda” means “protect” in Swahili. A fitting name for an episode about a security company at the center of the case. But this episode’s theme is less about protection and more about hope. Considering that this is the first episode of 2017, I think it’s a fitting idea to explore.
